Dear Travel Journal,
Today we drove to Maine. We were meeting our church there. It was at Ferry Beach. The drive was long, but I watched movies.
When we arrived, we ate lunch and unpacked. After that, I took a walk to the beach. The water was freezing. I then helped Rebecca do a scavenger hunt; it was fun. We ended up comin gin 2nd and we got chocolate.
I participated in the talent show; I juggled. I also ate and made new friends. I did arts and crafts and learned how to play “Killer Bunnies.” Then Evan, Jona, and I watched Hairspray. I also played basketball and roasted marshmallows to make smores at the bonfire. Yes, today was fun.

Dear Travel Journal,
Today my class and I left for New York. It was early, so I was really tired. We first went to the United Nations. It was really interesting. Then we went to Central Park. It was interesting. Then we went to the Metropolitan Museum. I loved that museum. Then we went to the Rockefeller Center and climbed all the way to the top. That was really exciting. Then we went to eat and then go to the hotel.

Dear Travel Journal,
Today, we went to Ellis Island. It was fun. We were in the museum most of the time. I learned a lot. The museum was about immigrants first coming here. Then we went to dinner and then went for a cruise ride around the Statue of Liberty before going to the hotel.

Dear Travel Journal,
Today we leave, but first we went to the studio at the Rockefeller Center. It was fun. I got to pretend I was a newscaster. We also walked around and visited stores. We also went to the Apollo Theater and went to a discount market. I had lots of fun. Well, ‘til next time.

Dear Travel Journal,
Today we flew to Ohio, where we met up with Cay and Kelsey. We drove to the Cedar Point Hotel, but we had to wait because our rooms weren’t ready. When we were all settled in, instead of going to the Cedar Point Amusement Park because it was raining, we went to an indoor water park. It was awesome. The wave pool wasn’t that good, though. After getting wet, we went out to eat. We went to Johnny Boys, or something like that. I had a pizza, it wasn’t that good, but at least it was something. We drove back to the hotel. Me and Kelsey watched TV in her room and the adults talked in mine. Then it was time to rest.

Dear Travel Journal,
Today, we got breakfast at McDonald’s. I had pancakes, orange juice, and half a hash brown because it fell. Then we left for the amusement park. It was so fun. We went on the coolest rides. We even went to the water park side. Those rides were pretty cool, too. I went on the wildest ride. It went 100 mph and 400 feet high.

Dear Travel Journal,
Today was our last day at Cedar Point. We went on most of the rides. We skipped a few because the lines were too long. I went on that wild ride again. Kelsey was too scared, but she actually tried it out in the end. We went back over to the water park side. That wave pool was excellent. We began driving home, back to Kelsey’s house, in the mid-afternoon.

When we got there, we unloaded and unpacked our stuff. After walking around Coventry, we stopped to eat at some Chinese restaurant.

Dear Travel Journal,
Today, Kelsey showed me around her neighborhood [Cleveland Heights]. We took a long walk and she showed me her neighborhood park and church. We also walked around Coventry for a while.
I also got to meet a few of her friends. It was nice. Her friends were funny, unique, and strange.

Today is our last day, not even. Basically, as soon as we awoke, we drove to the airport. We waited and waited for our plane to arrive. When it did, we boarded it and went home.
